This Twitter Campaign began with a simple request: Derek Samson wanted a beer named after him.

Derek, who was living in Charlotte covering the ACC for Yahoo Sports, was first introduced to Natty Greene's when he traveled to Greensboro on assignment. When Samson was relocated to Pittsburgh, far from the brews he loved, he tweeted, "Oh Natty’s how I love thee." And so it began.

The campaign went viral and Samson earned his namesake brew. Hundreds attended the launch party and #Samsonbrew lives on as a way to honor the most devout Natty Greene's fan.

As Creative Director of Natty Greene's Brewing Co., I oversaw the design, promotion, and production of all campaign related materials.
