Tap Handle 3D Design

The Natty Greene's tap handle is designed to represent the brand in draft accounts across the Southeast. In a sea of tap handles, breweries battle for an eye catching, easily recognizable tap in order to sell draft beer. Additionally, tap handles must easily evolve to accommodate rotating beer styles on a given tap.

Visually, the tap handle embodies the historical basis of Natty Greene's by showing its Revolutionary namesake, Gen. Nathanael Greene. Similarly, the black topper shape references the historical marker of Nathanael Greene, which marks the place of his death. The aluminum base of the handle references the grain silos that are present at all three Natty Greene's locations, while it displays the company mark.

This tap handle simplifies distribution and usage. The black topper is designed in three variations. To accommodate the majority of our draft sales, Buckshot Amber Ale and Southern Pale Ale specific toppers were produced. All seasonal beers and special releases use a generic topper that is fitted with unique inserts. The topper simply unscrews from the base and is easily replaced.

As Creative Director of Natty Greene's Brewing Co., I conceptualized, designed, and managed the production of this unique tap handle.
